From point of sale, to point of disposal, the Total Cost of Ownership should be the focus for all businesses. Our sales team help source systems at discounted prices, either new overstock items or refurbished equipment fully guaranteed and can help maintain these systems for any reasonable period of time.

Once you have had as much use from the equipment you then need to consider what to do with it next. No longer is it a case of disposing off it in the bin or at your local refuse facility, or even giving it away to employees. Current legislation exists that mean you have to take a responsible attitude to disposal of all equipment from the smallest cable to the largest super computer. Whether it's hazardous materials or safety issues, the responsibility lies with you.

Reuse Inhouse

The most obvious way to extend the life of your systems is to reuse within your own organisation. Many office users can make use of a modern PC for basic tasks and do not require the latest CPU and RAM to do so. Moving a workstation from the CAD department after 3 years to reception makes a lot of sense for most businesses. But, before you spend the time doing this, consider the running costs of the workstation if it has a high end video card and power supply which could be replaced with lower end components to save energy costs. Perhaps also consider whether you need to spend some time refurbishing it before reuse (perhaps adding RAM to support the latest version of Microsoft Office) - all of these tasks can be done by our team of professional engineers, either in-house or at our workshop.

With our strong links to the refurbished equipment market as well as end users in both the UK and emerging markets where refurbished systems are far more widely used, we offer you full clearance and remarketing service including product refurbishment and upgrades to maximise your financial return on your initial investment.

As a guide, desktop PC's usually only retain a small amount of the original purchase value but some servers, storage units and workstations retain far higher value in some specialised markets.

As an example, a client recently contacted us for disposal of a small QTY of server systems, expecting to pay the going rate for waste disposal. With their permission, our sales team were able to resell them to an overseas user. We dealt with the process from start to finish, collecting the machines from our customer in the UK, refurbishing them to a high standard that the purchaser expected and shipping them to the customer. The client received a payment back for the machines they had never anticipated, they didn't have to deal with shipping / refurbishment or the concerns of dealing with an overseas purchaser who they had not dealt with before. Since this original transaction, we've had several other machines from the same client and we are working to secure a return on as many machines as we can for them.

Recycle

We offer a full, environment agency approved, recycling service for all IT products from toner cartridges to data-centers. Please contact us with your requirements or to ask any questions.

Note : The recycling element is carried out by our preferred disposal partner who we liaise with on your behalf. If any element of your equipment is passed on for recycling we will supply you with all the relevant paperwork to show that you have taken the correct action in the disposal of your systems.
