Ride the bus all quarter long!

New ORCA Passes Arriving Soon! Meanwhile, Use Your TCC Student ID.

Effective July 1, 2025, students may temporarily use their student ID in place of their expired or existing ORCA pass.

Please do not tap your current ORCA pass, as it may accumulate a balance you’ll be responsible for.

We’re aware of the issue and are actively working to resolve it. New ORCA passes are expected to arrive next week, and an email will be sent to students once they are available.

If you don’t have a student ID, you can pick one up at Campus Safety in Building 14.

Frequently asked questions about the TCC Student Bus pass.

- Once you complete your ORCA buss pass registration, you can pick up your card from the Office of Student Engagement in Building 11 ( located upstairs, down the hall from International Programs) or The Collaboratory in Building 11 (downstairs, across from inside bookstore entrance). Look for the signs!
- All students enrolled at TCC in any number of credits are eligible for an ORCA card.
- It’s easy to plan your trip. !
- Yes, your ORCA card will cover the shuttle. Each ORCA card is pre-Ioaded with a Pierce Transit Business Pass which also includes all Shuttle rides. You may need to contact your Shuttle customer service representative just to confirm your usage.
- Yes, your ORCA card will work as long as you are enrolled in classes at TCC, including the breaks between quarters.
- All passes from the previous school year 23/24 have expired. Please return inactive cards to the Office of Student Engagement in Building 11, 2nd floor.
- If you received a card from Fall 2024 and Winter 2025, it will be active until July 1^st or until you are no longer enrolled as a student at TCC, whichever comes first.
- If you have physical ORCA card, you can request a replacement card from the Office of Student Engagement.

- Yes. Please do not put money on your TCC ORCA Card.
- Pierce County only.
- You can access the Pierce Transit fixed routes, Shuttles, and Runner service only. Not valid for the T-Rail or Ferry.
